Step 1: Log into your WordPress Dashboard.
Step 2: Click Settings then UpdraftPlus in the navigation menu.
Step 3: Click the Restore button.
Step 4: You will then see any backups listed. You can also place a backup file in the /wp-content/updraft folder or upload other backups by clicking Upload backup files, then the Select Files button to choose a file.
Step 5: Next to the backup you want to use, click the Restore button.
Step 6: A box will appear and warn you that “Restoring will replace this site’s themes, plugins, uploads, database and/or other content directories (according to what is contained in the backup set, and your selection). ” Select the items that you want to restore such as Plugins, Themes, Uploads, Others, and Database. In this example, we are restoring everything.
Step 7: Click the Restore button.
Step 8: The backup file will then be processed, click the Restore button to begin the restoration.
You will see a “Restore successful” message on the bottom of the UpdraftPlus Restoration Progress page.
